Acid attack perpetuators to be booked under NSA, Gangster Act
Lucknow, Nov 20 (UNI) Concerned over rising acid attack cases, Uttar Pradesh Director Genral of Police (DGP) Vikram Singh today directed to book the accused under National Security Act (NSA) and Gangster Act.
In a directive issued to all senior police officials, the DGP noted such cases had risen in the last few years.
Mostly love-lorn, frustrated and dejected persons committed such crime making the victim suffer both mentally and physically, he added.
Police needs to take quick action, as it develops a rapport with the public and reduces chances of re-occurance of such attacks, he said.
