Kohima, Nov 19 (UNI) Security forces arrested three persons for murdering a private vehicle driver and selling off the vehicle, police said here today.
The victim's body, which was cut into pieces and kept in two bags, was recovered near Old Dhansiri bridge in Dimapur on November six, police added.
Three of the four miscreants, involved in killing the victim and snatching away his car, had been arrested, while the fourth was still absconding, police said.
The miscreants were arrested with the joint efforts of the Dimapur District and Rangia police, Kamrup, Assam.
The arrested persons were presently in the custody of Assam police.
The four miscreants had murdered Saidul Ali (20), of Totarkuchi village of Kamrup district in Assam, on November five, inside a private hotel room at Dimapur.
Later, they chopped his body into seven pieces, put them in two different bags and dumped them near the old Dhansiri bridge.
Meanwhile, police launched search operations to recover the vehicle and arrest the other absconding accused person.
