New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) Starkey, the global leader in the design, development and distribution of 'Comprehensive hearing solutions', announced setting up of a factory in Noida with an initial investment of two million dollars.

The factory which will come up in sector 6 of Noida, is expected to manufacture 45,000 units and a turnover of 2.5 million dollars from operations in India alone, by next fiscal.

Starkey intends to capture 10 per cent of the market in India and is already talking to private players for tie-ups.

''Starkey Laboratories feels privileged to launch its 35 facilities in India. 25,000 children are born deaf every year in India and one out of 12 Indians are affected by acute hearing impairment. Starkey has a special commitment towards children and would try to help as many children as possible during its stay in India,'' Starkey Managing Director, Rohit Misra told UNI.

The company will bring 'nFusion Technology', a product that brings hearing aid performance to the main level. These hearing instruments are virtually feedback free. That means it has eliminated one of the most bothersome and frustrating problems commonly experienced by hearing aid wearers.

The technology is enabled with 'NO Manual touch'. This hearing aid automatically detects the noise level and automatically changes its parameters.

''nFusion Technology is something that will benefit the population in India largely because of the high noise pollution.

Starkey hearing aid is much-much superior to the current available hearing aids in the market and the only reason for the fastest growing companies in the world,'' said Boys Town University Professor, Dr Michael Gorga, who is also one of the five top audiologists in the world.
