SDO's son arrested for attempt to murder

Shahdol, MP, Nov 19 (UNI) Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rajeev Dikshit's son Saurabh and his friend Ajay Tiwari were today arrested on charges of attempting to murder a woman at Kotma area in Annupur district, police said.

Saurabh took Bhunda Kona village-resident Asso to an isolated place and opened fire upon her, injuring her over some argument. He was arrested from Kolganva today. His father's licensed gun and the jeep were seized. Ajay was arrested from Matumada area.

Asso was admitted to the district hospital. Her condition was stated to be out of danger.
