Patil administers National Integration pledge to Home Ministry staff

New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil today administered the National Integration Pledge to the officers and staff of his Ministry to foster the spirit of patriotism, communal harmony and national integration.

The pledge is being administered to mark the 'Quami Ekta' Week observed every year from November 19 to November 25.

The National Foundation for Communal Harmony, an autonomous body under the Ministry, is observing the Communal Harmony Week to coincide with the Quami Ekta Week.

The National Foundation of Communal Harmony has been set up to raise funds for the rehabilitation of child victims of communal, caste or ethnic violence and for promotion of communal harmony, national integration and fraternity.
