MLC donates one month salary to Social Welfare Dept

Hyderabad, Nov 19 (UNI) In a goodwill gesture, Andhra Pradesh Congress MLC and AICC Secretary P Sudhakar Reddy donated his one month salary and allowances to the State Social Welfare Department today, marking the 90th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Mr Reddy announced this when the State Social Welfare Minister P Subhashchandra Bose was giving reply on the funds under SC and ST sub plans during the Question Hour.

Meanwhile, the Council Chairman Chakrapani congratulated the Congress MLC for donating his salary for the welfare of SC and ST communities and called upon other MLCs to follow the same.
