MLA Cup Kabaddi tourney to be held during November 21-25

Mumbai, Nov 19 (UNI) Swami Samarth Kreeda Mandal, Prabhadevi and Prabhadevi's MLA Sada Sarvankar have organised state-level Kabaddi tournament for the MLA which Cup will be held in Murari Ghag maidan, Prabhadevi from November 21 to November 25.

The tournament will be held in two categories i e the Commercial Men and Women groups with each group having 12 teams each. The tournament will be organised under the auspices of Maharashtra Kabaddi Association, a media release stated here today.

There will be a tough fight in the Commercial Men section in which Bharat Petroleum, the winner of this season's Shivneri Kabaddi and Shahar Selection Trail tournament and other giants like Air India, Mahindra&Mahindra, Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Police will be seen in action.

In the women section local champion teams like Shiv Shakti, Ankur Sports Club, Amar Hind Mandal will have to face a tough challenge from Rachna Sports Club Nasik, and Suvarnayug, Pune.

The tournament will see the winners in the men and women sections bag Rs 35,000 cash award each and also the attractive MLA Cup, whereas the runners-up will get Rs 25,000 each.

The matches will be played under flood lights and two grounds have been readied under the supervision of Ravi Shinde and Ganesh Patil, the release added.
