Matrimonial meet for hearing impaired community
Bangalore, Nov 19 (UNI) ''Swayamwaraa-2007,'' a matrimonial meet for the hearing impaired community barring no caste and creed, will be held in the city for three days from December 21.
The city-based 'Swayamwaraa Trust', has been successfully organising the event for the last six years and helping hearing impaired persons, benifitting 850 persons so far.
In a release here yesterday, Trust Secretary C N Vijayaraju said the first two-days would be reserved for selection of spouses and a common marriage function would be held on December 23. The next day all the marriages which took place during ''Swayamwaara'' would be registered.
He said ''ours is the only organisation which facilitates the hearing impaired persons to find the right partner under one-platform without any kind of dowry.'' All the expenses for the marriage would be born by the organisation, he said.
