High Court condoles Justice Sandhawalia's death

Chandigarh, Nov 19 (UNI) A Full Court Reference was held at the Punjab and Haryana High Court today to mourn the death of former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice S S Sandhawalia.

Justice Sandhawalia expired on November 16 last.

In his condolence message, High Court Chief Justice Vijender Jain said that Justice Sandhawalia was a perfect man with immaculate mannerism and will always be remembered for his legal acumen, sagacity, courtesy and firmness. Justice Sandhawalia was an eminent legal luminary and jurist with the qualities of head and heart, who discharged his duties in different capacities with utmost professional commitment, dedication and sincerity. the message said.

Justice Jain said in Justice Sandhawalias death a void had been created in the legal fraternity that was difficult to fill.

All Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, former Chief Justices and former Judges of the Court, besides the Advocate General of Haryana, Mr H S Hooda, Punjab Advocate General H S Mattewal, Vice-Chairman of Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, Mr B S Billing, Vice-President of High Court Bar Association, Mr Gurinder Singh Attariwala and Law Officers of Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory were also present on this occasion.

The dignitaries present in the condolence meeting observed two minutes silence in memory of Justice Sandhawalia.
