Governor sends 'factual' report on Karnataka to Centre
Bangalore, Nov 19 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur tonight sent a ''factual'' report to the Centre, following the collapse of the seven-day-old B S Yeddyurappa government.
Raj Bhavan sources said the Governor had sent a preliminary report on the political situation prevailing in Karnataka.
Earlier today, the first-ever BJP government in the South collapsed even before the vote on confidence motion, moved by Mr Yeddyurappa, was taken up in the Assembly.
The JD(S), the BJP's coalition partner, had decided to vote against the confidence motion.
Mr Yeddyurappa has submitted his resignation to the Governor.
