Governor send factual report to centre
Bangalore, Nov 19 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur tonight sent a 'factual' report to the Centre following the collapse of the 7-day old B S Yeddyurappa government today.
Rajbhavan sources said that the Governor, acting swiftly after the fall of BJP government, following JD(S) refusal to vote in its support, sent a preliminary report presenting the political situation prevailing in the state.
It may be recalled that the first-ever BJP government in the South collapsed even before the vote on confidence motion, moved by Mr Yeddyurappa, as taken up in the assembly. This was as per Governor's direction to the Chief Minister to seek trust vote before November 20.
