Mumbai, Nov 19 (UNI) Elevator News Network (ENN) has become the first company in Asia and the third in the world to introduce real-time news on sports, stock market and other important development services along with advertising inside an elevator.
ENN, a Mumbai-based company, has tied up with the US-based Helius, a world leader in Internet Protocol(IP) technology.
Addressing media, ENN Managing Director Anup Karnani said, ''The Company has invested funds of about Rs 20 crore for the new project. This is a unique media tool that would deliver latest national and international news and advertising to thousands of elevator commuters, a captive audience, through television screens located in the elevators in high-rise commercial and residential buildings in various citites in India.'' ''We have made a beginning by installing 22 screens in 12 buildings including BSE and Panchratna in south Mumbai. ENN is already in the process of tying up with some of the prestigous commercial buildings, residential towers, five star hotels and shopping malls in Mumbai for this service. ENN has already tied up with commercial buildings in New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Gurgaon and Bangalore,'' he added.
By May 2008, ENN hopes to set up a network of 500 screens.
In the second phase, ENN has plans to increase its network by another 1500 screens by being present in Middle East and Pakistan and is in the process of tying up arrangement in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
