Phagwara, Nov 19 (UNI) Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President and leader of the Opposition Rajinder Kaur Bhattal today claimed that the SAD-BJP government had failed on all fronts.
''The government seems to be confused,'' she said while talking to newsapersons here after presiding over a state-level function organised by PPCC on the occasion of the birthday of late prime minister Mrs Indira Gandhi.
''The SAD-BJP alliance had made several promises during the assembly elections but it seems they have forgotten all,'' she said.
When asked about reconstitution of PPCC, Mrs Bhattal said the process would be completed by January next.
Regarding the 'vendetta politics' of the government, she said a state-level Committee headed by PPCC working president Mahinder Singh Kaypee was identifying each and every case involving Congress workers. The committee will submit its detailed report after a meeting in the next fifteen days, she added.
She disclosed that AICC president Sonia Gandhi would visit Punjab in the month of January or February next year.
She said that state party leaders would be deputed for canvassing in Gujarat and neighbouring Himachal Pradesh, where assembly polls were being held.
Earlier, Mrs Bhattal paid glowing tributes to the Indira Gandhi.
