BJP's greed for power led to Karnataka situation: Cong
New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) Blaming BJP's lust for power for its fall in Karnataka, the Congress today said this would take a heavy toll on the saffron party in the ongoing assembly polls in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
''We have no doubt that the Karnataka developments would have its repercussions outside the state,'' AICC spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters.
''The BJP committed a serious mistake of not taking the consent of the bride before announcing the marriage and making its honemoon plans,'' he said, describing the political developments in Karanataka as a product of the ''BJP school of political drama'' which was akin to the National School of Drama.
The BJP's drama, however, entailed a huge cost for the 'aam admi' of the southern state, Mr Singhvi added.
He, however, would not react to the behaviour of the JD(S) or comment on the possibility of the Congress forming a government in Karnataka with JD(S) support.
''Please do not deflect the focus,'' he said.
