BJP leader assassinated, 12-hour Ranchi bandh tomorrow

Ranchi, Nov 19 (UNI) Unidentified gunmen shot dead a senior BJP leader here this evening, while the party called a 12-hour Ranchi bandh tomorrow in protest against the killing.

BJP's SC/ST city president Anand Kachchap was gunned down at Dhelatoli under Kokar police station here at about 1730 hrs, senior police officials said, adding massive search was on to arrest the culprits and all exits points of the city had been sealed.

The BJP protesting against the killing, called for a dawn-to-dusk bandh in the capital tomorrow.
