New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) Minister of State for Industry Ashwani Kumar will utilise his visit to the Common Business Forum (CBF) at Kampala in Uganda from tomorrow to lobby support for India's candidate for the post of Secretary General of the Commonwealth.
Dr Kumar has been nominated by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to lead a business delegation from India at the meet to be held at Kampala.
Dr Kumar will interact with leading business leaders and ministers of trade and industry from 75-member Commonwealth during his two-day visit beginning tomorrow.
The CBF is meeting a day ahead of the Prime Minister's participation in the three-day 8th meeting of Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) which starts from November 23, official sources said.
The CBF will have top-level business participation from the UK, Canada and Australia among other member countries of the Commonwealth, the sources added.
