Jaipur, Nov 19 (UNI) The 69th Indian Road Congress will be held in Kolkata next year, the organisation's newly appointed Chairman, Rajasthan's PWD Secretary H L Meena said here today.
The four day annual event would be held in Kolkata either in November next year or in January 2009, Mr Meena told reporters here.
Meanwhile, the 68th session of the premier body of road engineers and technocrats concluded here, this afternoon with resolve to evolve more effective coordination between the veterans and upcoming technocrats.
Abut 1,500 engineers from across the country had participated in the four day event which was inaugurated by Union Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Singh Prasad on November 16. Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Shipping K H Muniyappa, Rajasthan Ministers Rajendra Singh Rathore and Babu Lal Verma and several others participated in the conference.
