Soren urges people to help check extremism

Ranchi, Nov 18: Former Union minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha president Sibu Soren today urged the people to join hands with the government in fighting naxalism in the state. Speaking at the launch of a monthly magazine 'Spasht', Mr Soren here said, ''People should not be afraid of the naxals, rather embolden their voice against these ultras.

''Our fear makes them stronger and help these ultras take advantage of the situation,'' Mr Soren added.

The JMM leader said that presence of security forces was not possible at every nook and corner of the state and hence people should themselves take initiatve to curb their menace.

Speaking on naxal strikes, Mr Soren said the ultras also want to create panic among the masses by means of mass killing, but this should not deter the people from their path.
