Security tightened in J'khand in view of ultra bandh
Ranchi, Nov 18 (UNI) Security throughout Jharkhand has been beefed up in view of the two-day bandh from tomorrow, called by the CPI(Maoist) in protest against incidents in Nandigram.
The bandh had been called by the South Bengal Committee of the outfit and would be effective in neighbouring West Bengal, Orissa and Jharkhand.
Director General of Police(DGP) Vishnu Dayal Ram told UNI that elaborate arrangements had been made throughout the state to avert any untoward incident during the bandh days.
"Instructions had been issued to all the Superintendents of Police to take preventive measures," Mr Ram said adding special direction had been given to the SPs of border areas.
Official sources said that the railways had also been asked to cancel or re-direct certain trains running on the Coal India Company(CIC) section.
