Militant killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 18 (UNI) Police today recovered the body of a militant from forests of Katwari in north Kashmir.

Police said the body of the militant was recovered from the forests in frontier district of Kupwara where a fierce gun-battle between ultras and troops of 7 Garhwal took place on Thursday. Two militants were killed in the encounter.

With the recovery of the body, the number of militants killed in the encounter has gone up to three, police added.

An AK 47 rifle, two AK magazines, one Chinese hand grenade, one binocular, one apron, one shawl, one pouch, one rucksack and one water bottle were also seized from the site, they said.
