Allahabad, Nov 18 (UNI) Indian Instiute of Information Technology, Allahabad, will take part in a two-day international conference on 'capacity building in science and Technology, Policy perspective, challenges and opportunities' to be held at Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi, from November 27.
Mr Koichirfo Matsuura, director general, UNESCO will inaugurate the conference, while Union Minister for External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee will be the chief guest.
Union Minister for Science and Technology Kapil Sibal will preside over the conference.
IIIT-A Director Dr M D Tiwari said noted scientists, policy makers, educationists and government representatives would take part in this conference.
The conference is jointly organised in collaboration with UNESCO, ISSESCO, Indian Instiute of Information Technology-Allahabad, Ministery of Human Resource Development and Ministry of Science and Technology, Government fo India and Zaheer Science foundation (ZSF), New Delhi.
Dr Tiwari said that the aim of the conference was to encourage international relations that speak across interdisciplinary and regional divides in the area of science and technology and industrial development.
