Madurai, Nov 18 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Health Department has braced itself to contain the outbreak of Dengue fever in parts of Dindigul district even as the disease claimed four lives, including three children, in the last few days in Madurai district.
Blood samples had been sent to Chennai, sources said.
The Government Rajaji Hospital here and many of the primary health centres were over crowed with the affected people. About 50 patients were treated at Madurai Government Hospital.
There were complaints from the public of being forced to approach private hospitals for blood test.
The Department initiated steps for fogging operations in Madurai district, following complaints of mosquito meance.
