Chandigarh, Nov 18 (UNI) The Indian Cricket League (ICL), an Essel Group venture, which has set forth an agenda to present new cricketing talent, packed with high quality training, kick-started a on-ground promotional campaign in the tri-city today.
The promotional campaign was started wherein the ICL Chandigarh team, namely, Chandigarh Lions visited different locations in the city and in Panchkula and Mohali and participated in a host of promotional activities.
The crowd went into a frenzy mode once they had a glimpse of their own Chandigarh Team. The team members shared some light moments with the cricket enthusiasts at various locations.
The Chandigarh Lions comprises of Sarabjit Singh, Imran Farhat, Dinesh Mongia, H Marshall, T P Singh, C Cairns, Andrew Hall, Reetinder Singh Sodhi, Rajesh Sharma, Ishant Malhotra, D Tuffey, S.Kalia, Chetan Sharma, Manish Sharma, Love Ablish, Vipul Sharma, Karanveer Singh, Amit Uniyal, Gaurav Gupta.
The ICL organised various on-ground activities like mall promotions wherein the cricketers were invited to meet and greet their fans. Before their arrival in the city, various games were conducted with the fan following and the winners got a lifetime opportunity to click photographs with their favourite players.
The team attended cricket clinics for two days in Panchkula wherein cricketers offered valuable tips to the young, upcoming cricketers. They interacted with them and youngsters were thrilled to be in company of national and International talent.
Setting new standards for Indian cricket, Chandigarh Lions is all set to conquer the hearts of Indian cricket aficionados at the ICL 20-20 Indian Championship that is scheduled to be held in Panchkula from November 30 to December 16.
ICL is a movement initiated by the Essel Group to identify and unearth the finest of talents in the country. Its mission is to create a pool of high quality ideal cricketers with killer instinct needed to be champions.
ICL would be run by a group of professionals with all the expertise and policies benchmarked against the best sports organizations globally. ICL will also foray in creating nation wide infrastructure (cricket academies) which will be equipped with state of the art facilities headed by international and domestic coaches under the supervision of a national director of academies.
