Gurgaon, Nov 18 (UNI) Bengal and Haryana rained in goals against their rivals to advance into the quarter-final league stage of the 44th Junior National Football Championship for Dr B C Roy Trophy here today.
Haryana mauled Rajasthan 14-0 while Bengal thrashed Gujarat 8-0 in their group matches.
For Haryana, Manandeep (8th, 16th, 20th, 32nd, 58th, 64th) scored six goals, Tushar Chaudhary (12th, 22nd, 63rd, 87th) four, Akshya Dutt (56th, 80th) two and Vivek Kumar (73rd), Samuel Dhinakaran (88th) netted one each.
For Bengal, Sumik Chakroborty (2nd, 42nd, 53rd), Mithun (13th, 67th), R Lalrindika (27th), Tilak Saha (83rd) and Sajal Das (90th) were the scorers.
In other matches played at Faridabad, Uttarakhand played out a goal-less draw with Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram beat Tamil Nadu 2-1 and Maharashtra downed Punjab 4-1.
