The physical fitness and measurement tests were held on November 15 followed by the medical test for successful candidates the next day, the spokesman added.
He said the written examination of medically fit candidates would be held at the same place on November 25. The administrative support was provided by 1 Sector Rashtriya Rifles under overall command of Headquarter Victor Force, the spokesman added.
Officiating Deputy Director General Recruiting Zones (Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir) Colonel D N Singh said the recruitment rally was open for all the 12 districts of Kashmir and Ladakh provinces for soldier general duty, technical, clerk and store keeper technical and soldier nursing assistant.
''There has been an overwhelming response to the Army's recruitment drive. About 2000 candidates reported for the rally on the two days while 645 tokens were issued after checking their documents,'' he added.
Col Singh said the selected candidates would get the lifetime opportunity to serve the Army in various categories.
