Revenue official trapped in AP
Hyderabad, Nov 17 (UNI) The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau trapped a Village Revenue Officer at Kovvur in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh while demanding and accepting bribe today.
The Officer had demanded Rs 5000 as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour of preparing ''patadar pass books'' in the name of the complainant and forwarding it to the Mandal Revenue Officer, an ACB release said here.
The accused hand fingers tested postive when subjected to chemical test. The tainted amount was recovered from his possession and the accused was remanded in custody by the Special Judge for ACB cases in Vijayawada, the release added.
