Mumbai, Nov 17 (UNI) Prices of key metals like Copper heavy, Copper utencils today went up on lesser stock supply, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.
In the ferrous category (per quintal), Copper heavy and Copper utencils inched up by Rs 200 owing to heavy demand from retailers.
Brass utencils, Brass cuttings and Aluminium utencils remained steady on moderate demand.
In Non-ferrous category Copper wire bar and Zinc slab slashed by Rs 100 and Rs 200 due to sluggish demand by bulk consumers.
Tin slab shot up by Rs 5 per kg while Nickel cathode reamaind steady.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals - Copper heavy: Rs 34,200, Copper utensils: Rs 31,200, Brass utensils: Rs 24,500, Brass cuttings: Rs 25,500 and Aluminium utensils: Rs 10,800.
Non-ferrous metals - Copper wire bars: Rs 37,500, Aluminium ingots: Rs 12,500, Zinc slab: Rs 14,300, Lead ingots: Rs 13,500, Tin slab: Rs 815 per kg and Nickel cathode: Rs 1,490 per kg.
