CBI issues chargesheet in Molarband land scam

New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) The CBI today filed a chargesheet in the capital's multi-crore rupee Molarband land scam case against eleven people including six MCD officials.

The officials named are MCD Additional Commissioner Sher Singh, Assistant Engineer Nanakchand Khandelwal, Junior Engineer SNS Siddhu, Director MCD Dipi Topo, Deputy Director Sumer Chand Garg and a clerk, Atul Vashisht.

Ashok Malhotra, Ashok Jain, Ravinder Singh Sandhu, Lal Mani and Ramchandra Arora, alias Masterji, are the other people who are named in the chargesheet.

The accused have been charged with criminal conspiracy and forgery using forged document and cheating under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.

Special judge CBI SK Kaushik fixed November 23 for the consideration of chargesheet.

The court also ordered the accused, who are on interim bail, to surrender to the court on November 23.
