Kancheepuram, Nov 17 (UNI) A Mobile Ration Shop would be set up near Singaperumal temple at Chengalpattu in Kancheepuram District soon, said K Senthil Kumar, District Cooperative Bank Joint Registrar and a Special Officer of the Central Cooperative Bank.
Talking to newspersons here today, he said 54th All India Cooperative Banks Weekly function were being celebrated all over Tamil Nadu from November 14 to 20.
Mr Kumar said The State Labour Welfare Minister T M Anbarasan, District Collector Santhosh K Mishra and MLAs, among others, would participate in the function here on November 19.
He said the District Central Cooperative Banks in 2006 had registered a profit of Rs four crore and eightytwo lakh. All the 44 branches would be computerised soon, he added.
He said flying squads would be appointed in the district to spot the discrepancies and anomalies in the mobile shop.
