Chandigarh, Nov 16 (UNI) Haryana Governor A R Kidwai today made a fervent appeal to the people to utilise the opportunity of making India a leading country in the world by contributing their share sincerely in its development.
Dr Kidwai was addressing a select gathering after inaugurating the In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) centre at a private hospital at Gurgaon today.
He said India, at present, was the second fastest growing economies in the world and if this tempo was maintained than it will become a developed country by 2020 and one of the three economic powers of the world after USA and China by 2045.
The Governor said due to availability of rich natural resources and maximum technical manpower in the world, people should utilize the opportunity provided by the globalization and make India a most prosperous country.
He said that we should launch a crusade to root out poverty, unemployment and hunger from the country. He said that the solid foundation laid by the leaders of our country after independence in the field of education and industry and dream of making India a prosperous nation is being realized now.
He said the Indian doctors, engineers and scientists have made an impact in whichever country they were serving by their qualification and sincerity.
Talking about Haryana the Governor said that it is the fastest growing state in the country. As against the national GDP of 9.5 per cent, Haryana's GDP has touched 15 per cent, not only in industry or service sector but in the agriculture sector also for which the farmers of the state deserves all praise. He also revealed that 80 per cent of the rice exported from the country is contributed by Haryana alone.
He said Haryana has emerged as a pace setter state in the field of development in the country.
Dr Kidwai praised Mr.Yadav, Director of Pushpanjali Hospital for introducing latest medical techniques like IVF, in his hospital which were very essential with the advancement being made in all sectors.
He said that there was dire need for latest medical facilities in the cities likes Gurgaon and Faridabad as many multi-national companies were converging to these areas and the population of these cities was also increasing speedily.
