Jamabandis in Haryana to be online

Chandigarh, Nov 16 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided that all the pending 'Jamabandis,' including the 104 villages which are under consolidation be prepared, consigned and made online by January 1, 2008 .

Out of total villages 7081, jamabandis of 6977 villages have been computerised and work on updatation due to mutation is going on, Minister of State for Revenue Savitri Jindal while addressing a review meeting of District Revenue Officers here.

She has also directed all the District Revenue Officers (DROs) of the state to ensure that mutation should be sanctioned within two months of registration.

Ms Savitri Jindal said computer centres would be set up in all the Tehsils including Sub-Tehsils by December 15, this year. She said essential information such as khasra number and location relating to registration of property would be put on website.

Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, Mr Dharambir said that a website would be hosted by January 26 where all the information relating to activities of the Department, Acts, Rules, Manuals, Standing orders, FAQs, Jamabandi and Registration data, Collector rates, Rates of Registration and Stamp Duty, important instructions regarding duties and responsibilities of the Revenue Officers would be made available.

The Principal Secretary said in future the periodicity of consignment of all the computerised jamabandis would be made two year instead of five years, at present.

To begin with, Token Display System would be introduced at Faridabad, Gurgaon, Panchkula, Sonepat and Karnal tehsils for making registration system more transparent and public friendly.
