Endangered species recovered from border

The
BSF
personnel
have
seized
12
endangered
reptiles
from
two
smuggler
groups
at
India-Bangladesh
border
here
yesterday.
BSF officials here today said six Indian nationals were arrested with ten endangered species of snakes at Lankamura sector, about seven km from here while they were entering Tripura from Bangladesh, while one person from that country was arrested in Akhuara immigration centre with two tortoises (Geochelone Elongata).
The border guards handed over the seized species to the wildlife authority of the state.
