Concrete roads in villages under NREGS: Minister
Hyderabad, Nov 16 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government has issued guidelines for laying concrete roads in villages under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS), Rural Development Minister G Chinna Reddy told the State Assembly today.
Rural roads could be laid under NREGS with funds under MP Local Area Development Scheme, MLA Constituency Development Scheme or any other available Government funds, the Minister said in reply to a question from Congress Member D Rajasasekhar.
He said 1,722 concrete roads were proposed to be taken up in 5,166 villages in 16 districts in the state.
