Hyderabad, Nov 16 (UNI) All India Majilis-E-Itihadul Muslimeen(AIMIM) Floor Leader Akbaruddin Owaisi today expressed anguish over other Opposition parties stalling the proceedings, leading to adjournment of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
Even as members of the main Opposition TDP, TRS, CPI and CPI(M) rushed to the well of the House and disrupted the proceedings, the AIMIM Legislator urged the members through Speaker K R Suresh Reddy to return to their seats.
It was unfortunate that Minorities welfare, listed for discussion during the winter session, would not come up at all, he lamented, adding that this showed how much serious were these parties towards the issue concerning minorities.
The short-duration disucussion on the Minimum Support Price hike for paddy had, in fact, turned into a long-duration discussion, he remarked.
Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy also appealed to the Opposition members with folded hands to allow him to reply to the debate on the MSP issue, being discussed in the House for the last eight days.
