Agitation against police 'inaction'

Puducherry, Nov 16 (UNI) The Puducherry-based 'Federation for People's Rights' will stage an agitation on November 22 against the Inspector General of Police for allegedly failing to initiate action against the Mudaliarpet police's reported attempt to cover up the murder of one Bala of Thengaithittu.

In a statement here today, Federation Secretary G Sugumaran alleged that the ''inaction'' of the IGP was leading to deterioration of law and order situation here.

He said various political parties and associations would also take part in the demonstration before the 'Swadeshi Cotton Mills'.
