UT Administration forms committee for building byelaws

Chandigarh, Nov 15 (UNI) Chandigarh Administration has formed a committee to look into various representations of traders of sector 17, the commercial hub of the city, regarding amendments in the existing building byelaws of UT, Chandigarh for making provision of different services like Generator, Transformer, Water-Tank, Lift Machine Room and Solar Panel on the roofs of the buildings.

Chief Engineer, UT Administration, Chief Architect, Estate Officer, Chief Fire Officer, Senior Town Planner, Senior Architect, Architect and SDO (Building) would be members of the committee.

The committee will look into the existing rules and regulations pertaining to different provisions and will suggest the necessary amendments required in the existing building byelaws. The Committee will submit the recommendation in this regard within a period of one month.
