Chennai, Nov 15 (UNI) In all, 25 states would vie for honours in the sixth Junior National Girls Football championship beginning at Dindigul from November 21 to December seven.
The teams have been divided into eight groups and top team from each group would qualify for the quaterfinal league to be played from November 28 to December three, Tamil Nadu Football Association Secretary T R Govindarajan announced here today.
In the quarterfinal league, the eight teams would be divided into two groups and the top two teams would qualify for the knock out semifinals to be played on December five.
The final would be held on December even.
Following are the groupings: Group A: Manipur, Gujarat, Chattisgarh.
Group B: Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh.
Group C: Orissa, Haryana, Chandigarh, Pondicherry.
Group D: West Bengal, Delhi, Kerala.
Group E: Punjab, Assam, Madhya Pradesh.
Group F: Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Bihar.
Group G: Mizoram, Jharkhand, Uttarkhand.
Group H: Goa, Tripura, Karnataka.
