NE's first convention complex comes up in Tripura

Agartala, Nov 15 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today assured complete infrastructure development of the state after unveiling Pragna Bhawan here, the first convention complex in North East.

Addressing a gathering, Mr Sarkar said earlier the state was facing problems in hosting national and international meetings due to inadequate infrastructure and hospitality facilities.

''I am happy that we have a star category hotel and international standard convention complex now, which will remove the misconception of other states regarding us,'' he attributed.

The Pragna Bhawan had been constructed on 3750 sq metre area along with required facilities at a cost of Rs 958.50 lakhs.

Mr Sarkar said the left front government was committed to offer good governance and pro-people administration for the betterment of the state.
