Jamnagar, Nov 15 (UNI) City police raided two gambling joints and arrested 82 persons from Ankur complex here.
In the first incident, Sri Ram Video Parlour was raided yesterday and the owner, Lalit Jatashankar Joshi was arrested along with 44 others.
In the raid, 16 video machines worth Rs 48,000, Rs 8,000 in cash and mobiles worth the same amount were seized.
In another incident, the police raided Shiv Video games parlour in the same complex yesterday evening and held 37 persons on charges of gambling. However, the proprietor Pinakin Pratapbhai managed to escape.
In the raid Rs 33,000 cash, mobile worth of Rs 5,000 and 13 video machines worth Rs 39,000 were seized.
