Dumka, Nov 15 (UNI) The banned CPI (Moist) today killed a 48-year contractor, the first such crime committed by the ultras in this district of Jharkhand.
The deceased, identified as Balram Paul, was hit with sharp weapons by around 12 activists of the banned outfit in the morning at Kulapathar village under insurgency-hit Ramgarh police station.
On April 24, Balram survived another attack in the same village.
Police felt that the ultras suspected Balram as an informer though they did not rule out personal rivalry as the cause of his death.
Senior police officers rushed to the site and recovered the body, which has been sent for post mortem.
