Hyderabad, Nov 15 (UNI) A committee has been formed to study the feasibility of setting up ''Balaji Navodaya Patasala'' in Andhra Pradesh, Endowments Minister J Ratnakar Rao told the State Assembly today.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams had formed Balaji Navodaya Patasala Trust to study the proposal and its report was awaited, the Minister told Congress member D Rajasekhar alias Nehru.

The member wanted the Government to allot funds from the Durga Malleswara Swami temple in Vijayawada for a super-speciality hospital on the lines of the Sri Venkateswara Institue of Medical Sciences.

The Government would adhere to the High Court ruling not to use the TTD funds for any other purpose not enumerated in the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987, Mr Rao said.

Replying to another question from Congress member R Suryaprakasa Rao, School Education Minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha said the Centre had sanctioned 34 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas for the State. There was no proposal to set up such vidyalayas in urban areas.
