New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) The 60th Nirankari Sant Samagam will begin in the Capital from November 17 at the North Delhi Samagam Grounds near Burari.

Thousands of devotees have already arrived from the neighbouring states and from abroad to render their sevices in the three-day-long religious congregation.

The 400-acre venue will host more than six lakh people this year with adequate arrangements of all basic amenities including water, sewerage, toilet and medical facilities.

The discourses of Baba Hardev Singh will be telecast live on the mission's website.

Talking to reporters, Hem Raj Chaddha, convenor of the Samagam Committee, said people from all the states would be attending the Samagam.

The gathering depicts a 'Mini India' and devotees are treated equally and assigned the same duties without evaluating their status as Samagam only respects humanity, he said.

One touches the feet of the other and greetings of love, affection and respect are exchanged, media advisor of the Samagam Kripa Sagar said.

Delhi Mayor Aarti Mehra will welcome the Nirankari Baba and Lt Governor Tejender Khanna will inaugurate the Samagam. Other dignitaries including Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit will visit the Samagam during these three days.

Children from Ludhiana will stage a play 'Chak de'--the goal of universal brotherhood, through a cricket match. Video documentaries, exhibitions, models, paintings, photographs, will depict the message of the mission.

The main attraction of the Samagam is the community kitchen where hundreds of women volunteer every year and cook food for devotees.
