Chennai, Nov 14 (UNI) Congress MLA Dr M K Vishnu Prasad, accused of instigating the violent attack on Union Minister G K Vasan loyalist and Tamil Nadu Youth Congress President Mayura Jayakumar, today filed a complaint with the police seeking action against the Union Minister.

Mr Prasad, son of TNCC President M Krishnassamy, submitted a petition in this regard to Chennai City Police Commissioner Nanjil Kumaran.

In his complaint, he alleged that Mr Vasan had brought goons to the party headquarters 'Satyamoorthy Bhavan'' on that day with the intention of ''eliminating'' him and wanted the police to register a case and take action against him.

He said, on November 11, during the CLP meeting, Mr Jayakumar was attacked and the latter had told the police that some ''outsiders'' had attacked him. ''He did not mention my name,'' he said.

''Mr Vasan, who subsequently came to the party office with some goondas, told them to finish me off. They were waiting to attack me, but I was safely escorted out of the Sathyamurthy Bhavan, or else I would have been killed'', Dr Prasad said in the complaint, which was released to the UNI here.

He claimed that Mr Vasan was the ''root cause'' of the incidents and wanted the police to take action against him.
