Steel Pavilion at IIFT inaugurated by minister

New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) Steel Minister Ram Vilas Paswan inaugurated the Steel Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair (IIFT) here today.

The Pavilion highlights the 'Innovative Usage of Steel' in everyday life. From highways, flyovers and different modes of transport, the pavilion showcases imaginative and useful tools.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Paswan lauded the role of the Ministry of Steel and the Public Sector Undertakings. He said the steel sector is on a high growth trajectory, recording around 12 to 13 per cent growth in production and consumption. He said, the growth in consumption could go up further as the present per capita consumption of steel is low.

The underlying statement of the Pavilion remains Innovation, and the imagination of the human mind. From Metal to Metamorphosis, how Steel has become the mainstay metal of Curved Cable-stayed Bridges, Creek Bridges, Cliff Bridges across waterways. Closer home in High-rise Buildings, Shopping Malls, Cineplexes, Stadia and Multi-level Parking Lots. From safety pins to submarines, the world revolves around this marvel of a metal.
