New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) To safeguard the digital assets, world's leading storage and back-up solutions provider Seagate Technology today launched the next generation of Maxtor OneTouch products, besides announcing the availability of 1 terabyte (TB) hard drives for the Indian market.
''As a leader in customer storage and back-up solutions, its our job to protect the important digital files of our customers and our years of safeguarding digital assets have taught us that data protection and back-up needs to be virtually effortless for the customer to adopt,'' company's Country Manager (India and SAARC) Rajesh Khurana said.
The new data protectors feature improved acoustics, optimised convection cooling system, and an inner disc drive casing and shock mounts for extra drive protection.
In addition, the Maxtor one touch 4 plus and Maxtor one touch 4 Mini include Maxtor safety drill, a new innovative software feature, for computers running Microsoft, Windows XP, Vista operating system, allows the complete recovery of the hard drives content in event of a system crash or virus attack.
Keeping in view the staggering volumes of digital content being generated by the consumers and business, the company also launched the second generation-desktop and enterprise perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) hard drives the Barracuda 7200.11 and Barracuda ES.2 of 1 TB capacity, which is being offered at Rs 16,000.
The Maxtor OneTouch 4 plus, Maxtor OneTouch 4 mini and Maxtor OneTouch 4 are available at Rs 14,400 for 1 TB, Rs 6000 for 160 GB and Rs 10,800 for 750 GB respectively.
