Chennai, Nov 14 (UNI) The qualifying matches for South and West zones for the under-15 Manchester United Premier Cup 2008 would be held here from November 27 to December 2 this year.
The All India Football Federation has allotted the event to the Tamil Nadu, and it would be hosted by Tamil Nadu Football Association (TFA).
The qualifying matches for the North and East zones would be held in Chandigarh and the All India finals at Goa.
TFA Secretary T R Govindarajan said here today that 16 teams would vie for honours in the Chennai leg of the event.
The teams are : Mumbai Football Club, Mahindra United Football Club, Pune Football Club (WIFA), Goa United Sports Academy, Sporting Club de Goa, Salgaocar Sports Club, Velsao Pale (Goa), Providence Gujarat Football Club, Baraca Football Club (Gujarat), Sports School, Bangalore Veterans Football Recreation Club, Dindigul District Youth Academy (Tamil Nadu), State Sports Hostel, Sambalpur Football Academy (Orissa), Pondicherry Football Club and Viva Kerala.
The teams would be divided into groups and the top team in each group would qualify for the final.
The duration of the play would be 20 minutes of each half with a half time break of five minutes.
