Police nab one person in shoe baron murder case

Jamshedpur,Nov 14 (UNI) One person was arrested today in connection with the murder of shoe baron Ashish Dey, who was gunned down in broad daylight on Novemher 2 at a market place in Sakchi here.

Briefing newspersons, Superintendent of Police Naveen Kumar Singh said one Jintender Singh was taken into police custody on the basis of circumstantial evidences.

Mr Singh,however, refused to divulge the details as it would hamper the progess of the investigation.

He said since the case was very sensitive and complicated the police for the first time had decided to conduct brain maping, lie detection test and narco analysis of the arrested person and the suspect would be sent either to Bangalore or Ahmedabad to carry out such tests.

Mr Singh said the motive of the murder would be clear only after the investigaton was over. He said the investigation was being done scietifically and systemtically and it might take another 10 to 15 days to know the truth.

He said ten separate police teams were formed for smooth investigation.

Mr Dey, one of the owner of multi-crore leather accessories Sreeleathers, was also the owner of a hotel.

Although the police refused to divulge the reason of the murder but the sources said the police was zeroing in on the angle of extortions.
