New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) 'MSME Expo 2007', the first ever Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) exhibition, will open at the India International Trade Fair here tomorrow.
Along with the Expo, MSME Minister Mahabir Prasad will inaugurate Techmart and KVIC and Coir Board Exhibitions.
The major attraction of the Expo will be the 'Hall of Excellence', where more than 100 MSMEs will display an array of high quality products including electrical and electronic goods, glass and ceramics, handicrafts, imitation jewellery, cosmetics, herbals, carpets, shawls, bamboo-based toys and ready-to-eat food.
Many of the participants are national award winners and ISO-9000-14000 certificate holders. Enterpreneurs from SC, ST and minoritiy communities, besides women will also display their products.
Techmart India 2007, the 15th International Technology Fair, coinciding with the IITF, is being organised by the National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), The event will help the MSMEs in marketing their products and services and also help large companies and buyers in identifying MSMEs that can become their ancillaries or partners in joint ventures.
The focus will be on low cost building material, auto components, information technology, light engineering and machines tools, textiles and coir.
About 35 foreign delegations, including those from South Africa, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda and Mozambique, are expected to visit Techmart.
