Jamshedpur, Nov 14 (UNI) Leading Air Hostess Training Institute Frankfinn has executed an exclusive tie up with Deccan Airlines for cabin crew recruitment.

Head of International Operations and East Region of Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training (FIAHT) Shaibal Ghosh told mediapersons here today that the tie up would ensure that only students from the institute would be recruited by Deccan Airlines as cabin crew.

The alliance confirmed easy availability of skilled cabin crew for Deccan Airlines, keeping in mind the acute shortage of trained human resource in this sector, he said.

Mr Ghosh said Frankfinn would be able to provide as many as 400 placements every year during the contract period with Deccan (formerly known as Air Deccan) as a part of the agreement.

He said in view of the recent boom in the aviation sector worldwide, the demand for cabin crew had gone up by seven to ten times than the current availability.

Mr Ghosh said at present an average of 30 trained crew members were needed by an airline per aircraft.

At the current pace of growth, with the collective industry fleet strength expected to reach 900 from the present 350 by 2009, the Indian aviation industry would require 7,500 to 8,000 cabin crew per year, he informed.

Mr Ghosh said the FIAHT, which was established in 1993, now has over 115 centres across the country and planned to open international centres in Dubai soon.

He said the institute also offered BTEC (HNC) in Aviation Hospitality and Travel Management.
