Dumpers purchase: Uma demands MP CM's resignation
Bhopal, Nov 14 (UNI) Bharatiya Janashakti Founder-President and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti today demanded Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's resignation on moral grounds in view of a local special court directing the Lokayukt to initiate an inquiry into ''purchase'' of dumpers in the name of his wife Sadhana Singh.
''I feel depressed as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime was formed in this state due to my penance. If Mr Chouhan does not quit on his own, the BJP should demand that he put in his papers. The chief minister's resignaton is imperative for an impartial probe,'' the firebrand sadhvi said in a statement issued here.
Ms Bharti felt that Mr Chouhan should draw an example from the resignation of the then chief minister Arjun Singh at the time of the Churhat lottery scam.
